The Blackrock
Clinic Pathology department has been in existence for more than thirty years
and is comprised of Clinical Biochemistry/Endocrinology/Point of Care Testing,
Haematology, Blood Transfusion/Haemovigilance, Microbiology and Cellular
Pathology – providing a clinical diagnostic service to customers.
The Pathology laboratory is
situated in the St Catherine’s Building, to the left of the hospital as one
drives up from the front car park towards the multi-storey car park. The
Phlebotomy Department is situated in the Clinic Building Outpatients area.
The Pathology Department is
guided by the Hospital’s Mission, Vision and Values which emanate from the
organisation’s Mission Statement.
The important principles
